The Area

There’s LOTS to do in all 4 seasons.

Minden is 10 minutes away. Haliburton is 25 minutes away. Both have great local merchants and everything you may need. We have some delicious local restaurants: Rhubarb by Boshkung Brewing Co, Pepper Mill, a steak and pasta house, The Red Umbrella Inn and The Dominion Hotel. Kawartha Dairy and their famous ice cream cones are close enough for any craving. Our family loves The Fast Lane bowling alley.

In summer there’s swimming, boating, cycling, hiking in Algonquin Park and tree top trekking.

In winter go skiing at Sir Sam’s, enjoy spa services at Sir Sam’s Inn and Waterspa, experience dog sledding and meet the local wolf pack at Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre.
